CRD SUMMARY:

This review concluded that statins had a modest beneficial effect on the risk of sudden cardiac death and that there was no evidence of a reduction in ventricular arrhythmias. The authors' conclusions generally reflect evidence presented but the rarity of outcome events makes it probably not possible to rule out any beneficial or harmful effect of statins on ventricular arrhythmias.
