CRD SUMMARY:

The authors concluded that spinal manipulation therapy appeared to be superior or equivalent of many commonly used interventions for acute low back pain. Decisions on treatment could not be made on relative efficacy alone. The evidence base was generally limited, there was potential for missed data and the authors' conclusions were broad, suggesting that they should be interpreted with caution.
